Brighten your Holiday with Channahon’s Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
CHANNAHON — The Village of Channahon and Three Rivers Public Library District invite you to kick off the holiday season with the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Event from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 7. The event will take place at the Village Hall, 24555 S. Navajo Drive.
The festivities will kick off at 3 p.m. when Santa makes his grand entrance. Don’t forget to bring your camera to take pictures with Santa.
The Three Rivers Public Library District will provide some holiday crafts. The children will also be able to decorate a cookie and eat it too!
Bundle up because we will have horse-drawn carriage rides and then come inside to warm up with some hot cocoa and cookies. The lobby will have trees decorated with ornaments by the Channahon Park District-Kids Connection, Kidz Korner, Kiddie Kampus Learning Center and Little Learner’s Children’s Academy.
Relax and enjoy a musical performance by Mr. Kevin Becker and the Channahon Junior High School Band. You will also have the opportunity to sing Christmas Carols along with the MCHS Madrigals.
The event will conclude as Mayor Joe Cook along with Little Miss Channahon and her court countdown to light the Christmas Tree. The event is free and please be sure to dress appropriately since some activities will take place outside.
The Village would also like to send a very special thank you to the Glenn and Diane Pope Family for their donation of our Christmas tree.
Channahon residents please note that Navajo Drive will be closed from 2:30 p.m. until approximately 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, December 7 for the event.
