Beginning tomorrow (Tuesday), October 13, and continuing through Friday, October 16, Dresden will conduct tests on its heating boilers as the station transitions from the use of diesel fuel to natural gas.
The testing is scheduled to begin at approximately 8:00 a.m. and will run intermittently until about 8:00 p.m. each day.
During this test, which will occur outdoors on the northwest side of the site, the equipment will emit steam and will produce a loud noise at various intervals. The steam being emitted is not radioactive and does not pose any health or safety risks to our employees or those in the surrounding area. Please be aware that those living or working in the area may see the steam and hear the noise associated with this test.
