CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION

All contractors must be registered with the Development Department of the Village. Registration ensures that contractors are properly insured. If you are planning to hire a contractor, contact the Village to verify that the contractor is registered. If you are a contractor, you can pick up a Contractor Registration Form at the Municipal Center call 815/467-6644 to have a form mailed or faxed to you, request a form by contacting us online, or download a form here.

All registrations expire one year from the date of registration.

Fees
Fees are as follows:

• General Contractor: $150.00
• All other Contractors: $100.00

Insurance Requirements
A Certificate of Insurance must list the Village of Channahon as the Certificate Holder. If insurance expires during the term of registration, a renewal certificate must be mailed to the Development Department or the registration will be suspended.

• Bodily Injury Liability: $300,000
• Property Damage Liability: $100,000
• Workmen’s Compensation: As required by the Industrial Commission of Illinois
