A completed Business License/Registration Application must be received by the Village thirty days prior to the anticipated opening of the business.  For businesses serving or selling food and/or drinks, proof of County Health Department inspection must be provided. Day Care facilities must provide DCFS approval. No business can operate until approval of Village license is received. Any business in operation without a license will be closed until proper license is obtained. Home businesses and others not requiring a fee should also complete a Business License/Registration Application.  A listing of businesses exempt from the fee is included with the application. 

All licenses are issued for a full year from date of issue.  The full fee for the license, $50, shall be paid at the time of application.

Home businesses are also required to complete a Business License/Registration Application. There is no fee associated with registering a home-based business.  Regulations governing home-based business are outlined in the Village’s Zoning regulations.
