All Village meetings are held in the Board Room of the Channahon Municipal Center located at 24555 S. Navajo Drive.
The Village Board meets as a Committee of the Whole one hour prior to each Village Board meeting to discuss agenda items and other issues as needed. Formal action on any agenda items is taken at the Board of Trustees meeting, which immediately follows.
Agendas are posted at the Municipal Building 48 hours prior to the meeting. The deadline to be placed on the agenda is the Wednesday preceding the Board meeting. All residents are welcome to attend any Village meeting.

The Planning and Zoning Commission makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees regarding special use permits, planned unit developments, and subdivision of land. The Planning and Zoning Commission also hears and decides all variation requests and appeals of the decisions of the Building and Zoning Official.

The Village of Channahon is served by three representative districts and three senatorial districts. Residents living in Channahon Township in Will County and Aux Sable Township in Grundy County are located within State Senate District 38 and State Representative District 75. Residents are served by Senator Gary Dahl and Representative Careen Gordon. Residents living in Troy Township are located within State Senate District 42 and State Representative District 84, or State Senate District 43 and State Representative 86. Residents are served by Senator Edward Petka serves District 42 and Representative Tom Cross serves District 84. Senator A.J. Wilhelmi serves District 43 and Representative Jack McGuire serves District 86.
