The Finance Department is responsible for all financial and accounting services of the Village. The Department coordinates preparation of the annual budget, accounts payable and receivables, payroll, utility billing, financial reporting, purchasing and the investment of Village funds.

The Village of Channahon is a recipient of the Government Finance Officers Association of America Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Award. The Village of Channahon has received this award for the last 14 years in a row.
Heather Wagonblott, Finance Director/Treasurer
Heather Wagonblott has been the Finance Director for the Village of Channahon, Illinois since October 2014. Heather graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting. She has twenty years’ experience in the accounting field. Ten years of her career were in public accounting which she specialized in government and non-profit auditing. Heather brings with her years of experience working with other municipalities and agencies within the State of Illinois.
