Planning & Zoning Commission Virtual Meetings

Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 infections in our region, the Village of Channahon is permitting, but discouraging, public attendance at Village meetings. Those attending Village meetings will be required to comply with “social distancing” requirements, and the Village will enforce the Governor’s Executive Order and additional restrictions prohibiting the gathering of 10 or more people.

The public may listen to the meeting and provide public comment during the public hearing and designated public comment portion of the agenda by either joining the meeting through the website:

https://meet.google.com/qir-ishk-ayh

-or- Join by Phone 1 (617)-675-4444 (PIN: 263 793 193 5728#).

If the attendee has a microphone on the computer, there is no need to call-in as well. A camera is not required (or can be turned off,) if the attendee does not wish to be seen. It is recommended to connect using a device, if possible, so that the screen and exhibits can be viewed.

The public may also email comments to pzcmeeting@channahon.org. These comments will be read into the minutes.

All meeting participants will be required to join the Google Meet either by computer/tablet/smartphone or by voice telephone. However, you will need to join from a computer/tablet/ smartphone to be able to see the screens that are being presented and shared. While it is possible, we do not recommend using a smartphone as the screen size does not lend itself to viewing exhibits during a video call. If your computer does not have a microphone, you will also need to call-in by voice telephone to be able to communicate.

If you are utilizing both a computer and telephone, please be aware that your phone may pick up the audio from the computer and create a feedback loop. Mute your telephone/device when not speaking. It is not necessary for your face to be visible, so you may turn off your camera if you choose.
