Beginning this coming Monday, April 20, the Village of Channahon’s new refuse service provider, Environmental Recycling & Disposal, will begin distributing its carts to residents. Please continue reading for important information about cart delivery and the upcoming transition.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY CARTS FROM ENVIRONMENTAL?
Carts will be distributed in multiple rounds of deliveries; it may take several days before you have all three carts (refuse, recycling and yard waste) delivered to your home. All carts will be delivered by Sunday, May 3.
Please be mindful of the Social Distancing Guidelines. The delivery personnel have been instructed to maintain proper distancing and limit contact with residents throughout the delivery process. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone safe.
I RECEIVED MY CARTS, BUT I WANT DIFFERENT SIZES. HOW DO I CHANGE THEM?
Once carts have been delivered, residents can request changes by contacting Environmental Recycling & Disposal directly at 877-323-2222, firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting www.envrd.com/channahon.
WHEN DO I START USING MY ENVIRONMENTAL CARTS?
Environmental’s service begins for Channahon on Monday, May 4. As a reminder, with the change in refuse service providers, your refuse pickup day may be changing. Please visit Environmental’s website to check your address for your pickup day: www.envrd.com/channahon.
WHAT DO I DO WITH MY WASTE MANAGEMENT CARTS?
Waste Management’s last day of service for Channahon residents is Monday, April 27. After this date, Waste Management will retrieve their carts from your home. Residential customers are asked to LEAVE THEIR CARTS OUT near the curb after pickup on April 27. Waste Management will remove their carts from Monday, 4/27 through Wednesday, 4/29.
