Stickers are $1.75 and can be purchased at the Village Hall, Casey’s General Store and the Private Bank.
Yard waste pick up is from April 1st through November 30th.
All yard waste must be placed in kraft bags and require a prepaid sticker. Leaves will be collected from October 1st through November 30th at no charge and also must be placed in kraft bags. There are 2 additional leaf collections that will take place on Saturday in the fall. Please check with the Village Hall for the dates and set out requirements.
Yes, to ensure pick up please follow these guidelines:
They do not require a prepaid sticker. Whole trees, stumps and/or improperly prepared bundles will not be accepted.
You may place up to 4 rolls, free of charge, at curbside along with your regular refuse. Carpeting and padding must be cut into 4-foot lengths and securely tied. Each roll must not exceed 50 pounds. Improperly prepared rolls will not be accepted.
Contact the Village Hall to either replace a broken tote or to change the size of your current tote.
You are allowed disposal of one large item per week at no charge.

Channahon Township residents are able to drop off electronics every first and third Thursday of the month from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Channahon Township Building, located at 25355 S. Center Street.
The Village of Channahon does not have a compactor but the Channahon Township has one located at 25461 S Fryer Street. Hours are Saturdays 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. year-round with additional hours from April through October on Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. For a list of items accepted please contact them at 815-467-2569 or visit our recycling page. Please keep in mind Waste Management will accept one large item a week (such as chairs, couches, mattresses, etc.).
Christmas trees will be picked up on the collection dates following Christmas. Details on dates and restrictions will be posted on the News and Events page at the appropriate time of the year.
