The Village of Channahon has contracted with Midwest Asphalt Repair to perform spray patching on various streets within the Village. Spray patching consists of a mixture of emulsified asphalt and aggregate to repair potholes and cracking pavement, extending the life of the roadway. Work is expected to start Wednesday, June 13 through the end of the month (weather depending).
Residents will have access to their driveways and streets while the contractor is working, though minor delays may occur. After application, residents will notice loose aggregate on the roadway; this is normal and will be swept 2-3 weeks after application. The delay in sweeping allows the material to embed in the patched area. Questions can be directed to the Village of Channahon Public Works Department at 815-467-6644.
