How do we prepare yard waste for pick up?

Residents are allowed to place yard waste in biodegradable kraft type bags (no sticker required) or use the 95-gallon yard waste cart provided by Environmental Recycling & Disposal. 

Place carts and/or bags at the curb with wheels against the curb by 6 a.m. on your designated collection day. Branches, shrubbery cuttings and tree limbs must be less than 4 inches in diameter and bundled to a maximum of two feet in diameter and three feet in length. Bundles must weigh less than 50 lbs. 

Acceptable items include:

  • Grass trimmings
  • Shrubbery cuttings
  • Leaves
  • Live Christmas trees
  • Twigs
  • Branches
  • Outdoor plants
  • Flowers
  • Tree limbs (if less than 4 inches in diameter bundled to a maximum of two feet in diameter and three feet in length)

Unacceptable items include:

  • Plastic bags
  • Animal waste
  • Cardboard
  • Concrete
  • Rock
  • Fruits
  • Vegetables
  • Dirt
  • Stone
  • Indoor plants
  • Trees
  • Stumps larger than 3 inches
