About Michael Petrick
Currently the Assistant Village Administrator, Mike Petrick serves as the head of the Administration Department. The department includes functions such as Human Resources, Communications, Information Technology, and general services to the residents and businesses of Channahon.
Mike Petrick formerly served as the Director of Community Development & Information Systems for over a decade, and was responsible for the management of the Community Development Department, as well as the oversight of Information Technology and Communications. Petrick earned a bachelor’s degree (B.S. Geography) from Eastern Illinois University in 2002, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Lewis University in 2012. Prior to this role, he served the Village of Channahon in the positions of Information Systems Coordinator, GIS Coordinator, and as a Public Works Street Laborer.
Mike has served on the Board of Directors for the Grundy Area Chamber of Commerce since 2014. He also participates as a part of Community Advisory Panels for several area industry facilities, including: DuPont, LyondellBasell, and Nouryon. Other past volunteerism includes GIS Advisory Committee membership with Joliet Junior College, and service with the Boy Scouts of America.
